I took my daughter to see the ‘Outsiders’ exhibit today which included the work of famed photographer, Gordon Parks. Never before have I been moved by photos (some literally brought me to tears) so I decided to explore this gem of a person a bit further. (more…)

It’s difficult to imagine Empire without Jussie Smollett’s character, Jamal Lyon; almost so, I’m wondering if this news of him being killed-off in the Empire Season Finale is just a ploy to garner viewers. I, like many, haven’t enjoyed the second season of Empire like the first. Something has been off with the writers but Jamal has pretty-much been the central character even though Cookie and Luscious are leads. (more…)
