Things just aren’t looking good for Phaedra these days. On February 24th, Angela Stanton, author of, “Lies of a Real Housewife” filed a motion for summary verdict against Phaedra’s defamation claims.
Ms. Stanton’s attorney, James Radford stated, “All the evidence that has been developed in this case points to the truth of Ms. Stanton’s book, “Lies of Real Housewife,” and Ms. Parks has failed to put on any evidence to support her claims. Ms. Parks has not sat for her own deposition. We are also seeking sanctions in the form of attorneys fees due to what we believe to be frivolous litigation.”
Phaedra filed a libelous suit against former friend, Angela Stanton for allegations made in her book, claiming Phaedra ran her own check scam operation that also involved auto VIN fraud. She also alleges, Apollo Nida, Phaedra’s husband took the fall in that case, serving five years in Federal prison.
In 2012, Phaedra filed a $30 million dollar lawsuit against Vibe Holdings, which operates Vibe.com, Uptown Magazine, and Augustus Publishing, saying the outlet published lies about her to generate interest in a book. The lawsuit demanded a jury trial, $5 million in compensatory and $25 million in punitive damages, and retractions. This case was allegedly settled for a small four figure amount.
Last September, Phaedra’s attorneys, B.J. Bernstein, and Lin Wood filed a motion to withdraw from the case just one week after Apollo was booked on fraud charges.
