When I first read this story it literally brought me to tears! I thought, what a strong show of compassion and great reminder that good people still exist in this world.
When Brandon Stanton, a photographer with Humans of New York (HONY) blog and Facebook page approached a 6th grader and asked the simple question, “Who’s influenced you the most in your life?” his response ignited something that would not only change his life, but those of many children in Brownsville, an impoverished neighborhood in Brooklyn with the highest crime rate in all of New York City.
