EmpireSocial media was ignited last night by the unexpected kiss shared by Jamal Lyon played by Jussie Smollett and Skye Summers played by guest star Alicia Keys on Empire Season 2.  I enjoyed the scene that some anticipate will be offensive to the gay community.

Alicia KeysI’d like to know why?

Is this such a departure from reality?  The two connected in song which led to a deep emotional connection.  That sometimes happen during the creative process.

And if anyone believes for a minute Jamal is turning straight after writers went above and beyond last season to show us he’s gay; think again.

And in case you’re wondering what Alicia’s husband producer Swizz Beatz thought about the kiss; take a look at his posts to the gram.

This guy is nuts!

Empire Season 2Vivica A Fox and Rosie O’Donnell did a phenomenal job as well!

A++++ to wardrobe, writer Eric Haywood and director Paul McCrane along with the rest of the cast and crew who delivered across the board.

Empire season 2 will air its Fall season finale, next Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
