Hot Buns
Hot Buns are traditionally eaten on Good Friday.

Today April 18, 2014 is Good Friday!  Here are a few tidbits you may not know:

Do you now why we call it Good Friday?

Good Friday is essentially a holiday marking the execution of the Christian messiah.  What’s good about that you ask?

Well, experts believe the day was actually called God Friday, which was later mistaken for “good” as we know it today.

This stuck because of the good that comes from Christ’s sacrifice which allows believers to go on to heaven and live eternally.

It is also known as: Holy Friday, Long Friday or Silent Friday in other countries.

Did U Know?

It’s an old superstition that if a baby is born on Good Friday and baptized on Easter Sunday they will have the gift of healing.
