NBC’s “The Voice” will get two new coaches this fall as Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams join the cast.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will return as the only two original and continuous coaches while Christina Aguilera is out having a baby and expected to return for Season 8.
As a way to introduce the new coaches, Williams will perform new G I R L single “Come Get It Bae,” while Stefani will take the stage for “Hollaback Girl,” produced by Williams, on the live May 5th telecast.
Stefani has sold nearly 30 million records worldwide as the lead singer of rock band No Doubt and also as a solo artist. No Doubt’s five albums have produced No. 1 hits like “Don’t Speak,” “Just a Girl,” “Hey Baby” and “Underneath It All.”
Pharrell Williams gained much-attention by sporting a Vivienne Westwood Ranger Hat at the 2014 Grammy’s where he had tremendous success winning four awards including Producer of the Year for smash hits, ‘Blurred Lines’, ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Happy’.
He and his partner Chad Hugo make up the production duo ‘The Neptunes‘ producing Soul, Hip Hop and R&B music.
Pharrell posted his thanks to NBC, ‘The Voice’ on Instagram saying, “This is going to be fun!”
