LeBron JamesOh the city of Cleveland will be disappointed but it looks like MVP, LeBron James just might not return to the Cavaliers to defend his title.

Rumors swirled of a possible move to the L.A. Lakers after someone leaked news that his two sons had been enrolled in a Brentwood, California school for the upcoming year.

But he refuted those claims telling fans,

“I love it here in Cleveland. I have no intentions of leaving,” James told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin during the Cavaliers’ championship parade. “There are some technicalities to take care of I’ll leave up to my agent. That’s right from the horse’s mouth.”

There’s still hope that he can remain in Cleveland though he’s opted out for now.  He had to inform the team of his decision by Wednesday at midnight and was expected to earn $24 million next season with the Cavs.  Come July 1, he will become the most sought after free agent for the third straight summer.

Best wishes to LeBron and family!
