Nick Cannon’s work ethic is impeccable so much so; he’s now enrolled as an “on campus” Freshman at Howard University.
“Nelson Mandela once said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world,’ and with that said I have officially enrolled at Howard University.
I am always seeking new challenges and continual growth and decided to obtain my first college degree from an institution that had a proven legacy of producing great minds.
I have friends, mentors and colleagues who attended Howard University. I have heard about the famed Howard Homecoming since I was a kid growing up in California and knew that Howard would be the perfect place for me to further my education.
I look forward to this new journey in my life and am excited about the possibilities ahead.”
Howard University is an Historically Black University (HBCU) in Washington, D.C.
It will be interesting to see how of much of a distraction his presence will be on campus.
The rapper, Mason Betha aka Mase attempted to do this at Clark Atlanta during his prime. He may have last two semesters before school officials had to ask him to leave.
Nevertheless, this serves as excellent publicity for this outstanding institution.
He will be in good company upon graduation. Other notable alumni include: Thurgood Marshall, Toni Morison, Ossie Davis, Andrew Young, Phylicia Rashad, Debbie Allen, Taraji P Henson, Anthony Anderson, Paula Jai Parker, Lance Gross, Isaiah Washington, Laz Alonzo, Pastor Jeremiah Wright and many more.
Nick will continue juggling his other endeavors while embarking on this next journey and we wish him continued success!
