Seventeen year old, Kwasi Enin, a high school senior from Long Island New York applied and was accepted to all 8 Ivy League schools after scoring a near perfect 2,250 on the SAT.
The William Floyd High School senior told Newsday he couldn’t believe it when “the yesses kept coming.”
Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and the University of Pennsylvania all said yes.
Administrators at his Williams Floyd High School say they’re not surprised, stating, “He’s an academic stand-out,” having been in the top 2 percent of his class.
Barbara Butler, principal said she could see the potential in Kwasi way back when having taught him for six years. She said, “He has it all together-he’s extremely intelligent, hard working, well-rounded and humble.”
Ebenezer Enin, a nurse and Kwasi’s father says he and his sister were both raised to strive for excellence.
“We are very proud of him.” he said, “He’s an amazing kid, he’s very humble. He’s been trained to be a high achiever right from when he was a kid. We have been encouraging him to be an all-around student. So far, he has proved himself.”
Indeed he has!!!!!
Kwasi is waiting to see what kind of financial aid is offered before making his final decision, but did say he’s partial to Yale and plans to study medicine.
Parents, take note. Continued success young man!!!!!
