OWN is now the fastest growing cable network for women ages 25-54. Additionally, the first quarter of 2014 marked the network’s highest quarterly rank in W25-54 at #24 in all cable networks and #4 for African-American women in the same age group.
It was the #1 cable network on Tuesday and Wednesday nights for African-American women in the first quarter of 2014. And was Tuesday night’s #2 cable network among all women.
The Oprah Winfrey Network has grown so much over the past year, in large part to Tyler Perry’s, “The Have’s and Have Nots,” hit drama series that had five episodes alone to attract over 3 million viewers. The network was able to pay back $16M vs. last year when Discovery had to funnel $14M to the channel.
Congratulations Oprah and the entire OWN staff!
