Outkast returned to the stage after more than a 10 year hiatus to headline opening night at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival.
To an energetic, jam-packed audience, the duo performed hits like: Bomb Over Baghdad, Hey Ya, Ms. Jackson, So Fresh, So Clean, The Way You Move, Elevators (Me & You) and more.
The set was live streamed on You Tube as the group celebrated twenty years since their 1994 debut, “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.”
Andre 3000 asked the crowd, “Hey Coachella, are y’all alive?” “Are y’all alive? At the top of their set.
“We just want to know one thing — are you having a good time?” Big Boi asked the crowd.
That answer would be a resounding YESSSSS!
“I really appreciate y’all coming out,”, more than 90 minutes later. “I know it’s kind of weird 20 years later.”
This was the first of many performances planned this year. Good to see them back!
