Last year It was reported Joe & Melissa Gorga sold their New Jersey mansion for full ask price of $3.8 million.
Well, not so fast. The deal was apparently a little more complicated than that and now the buyer has defaulted on the agreement leaving Joe & Melissa on the hook for property taxes, insurance and I’m sure a hefty mortgage payment.
The Gorga’s filed eviction paperwork seeking to remove the anonymous buyer from the six-bedroom, seven bathroom mansion.
According to Daily Mail,
‘To date, the purchaser has failed to uphold his financial obligations under the agreement and provided bounced checks totaling $20,000 as well as failed to pay rent for the months of April, May, and June 2014,’ the rep said.
Melissa told US Weekly,
Monthly payments have been a struggle for the anonymous buyer since the purchase.
‘I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, but I am not going to continue to pay for a complete stranger to live in a multimillion dollar home.’
Joe and Melissa have already started building their dream home in nearby Franklin Lakes. This is going to get awfully messy. Good luck with that!
