Well that didn’t take long! Pharrell Williams has issued an apology for his faux pas in wearing the traditional Native American Headdress on the July cover of Elle Magazine.
In a statement sent to BuzzFeed, the Huffington Post and other outlets Pharrell says he’s sorry for wearing a Native American Headdress:
“I respect and honor every kind of race, background and culture. I am genuinely sorry,”
The attention given this matter will prove positive in educating the public. I for one find it rather amusing not one person involved knew better but when all else fails and apology goes a long way!
