Wendy Williams is expanding her reach once again with BET in a new series critiquing red carpet fashion called, “Wendy’s Style Squad.” This is especially interesting considering her beef with RHOA star, Nene Leakes who recently landed a permanent spot on E Networks, “Fashion Police.”
In my humble opinion, neither of these ladies are qualified to critique fashion; however, Nene has the help of an excellent stylist who keeps her looking her best while Wendy is less fortunate in that regard and usually looks a mess.
This could very-well be a case of, if-you-can-do-it-I-can-do-it-better and that sentiment may not just be limited to Leakes but also Melissa Rivers as I’ve noticed Wendy’s use of the late Joan River’s famous catchphrase, “can we talk” more often than usual.
Anyway, this will be a great addition to the BET lineup as I really enjoyed the commentary from the panel which includes: Bevy Smith, Lloyd Boston and Robert Verdi when they last appeared on the Wendy show.
The network is preparing to launch a red carpet fashion commentary series titled Wendy’s Style Squad, where the talk show host will give her opinions about the celebrity styles of the evening.
She will be joined by an expert panel that will include Bevy Smith, Lloyd Boston and Robert Verdi.
The show will kick off later this month with six episodes that are set to coincide with awards season. First up is the Grammys.
Catch the media maven’s latest project Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. ET.
